Since they were inaugurated in 1992, these coveted Awards have become widely acknowledged as ‘Scotland’s Business Oscars’. They recognise exceptional individual achievement by those at the helm of Scotland’s major companies and public services.

What makes these Awards unique is that the distinguished recipients are chosen by a 500-strong peer group of top Scottish business and professional leaders invited from among the 50,000+ readers of Insider - Scotland's business magazine.

Nominations for the top award, the Insider Elite Leader of the Year, are made in the same way and the winning selection is endorsed by previous recipients of this accolade – all members of Insider’s Academy of Elite.

The Awards themselves are presented at an exclusive and exceptionally well-appointed Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, on Wednesday 7th October at Raddison SAS and will be attended by the leadership cream of Scottish business, finance, the professions and public services.
